Kathleen Irene Weatherhead Fund graphic

Irene Weatherhead dedicated her life to helping others. A graduate of Renison University College’s class of 1977, Irene pursued a career in social work where she specialized in providing support and advocacy to individuals caught up in the criminal justice system as a result of substance dependency. Irene defied the odds in life. After leaving her marriage for the safety and security of her children, Irene put herself through school as a single mother, often relying on the kindness and support of others. Family and friends, committed to ensuring that Irene’s legacy of kindness continues, established this Fund to support students in the BSW and MSW programs, with preference given to mature students who are single parents. Thank you for generously supporting this Fund and continuing Irene’s legacy of kindness.
